All wood is hand-shaped and intricately painted by 25 Mongolian artisans. Each piece of wood used in construction is hand selected by a master craftsperson, carved and shaped, and formed into a complete ger. After the base pieces are constructed, final finishing takes place by sanding a total of three times. Once a smooth finish is achieved each piece is re-inspected by the craftsperson and painted by a Mongolian artist who is commissioned to paint the entire ger.
